Buying A Home

The first step of starting your home search is to get pre-qualified for a mortgage so you can know what your budget is. There are many factors that go into a mortgage which can affect how much you’re able to borrow. Figuring this out helps us to narrow down your search.

If you are unsure about the steps for getting pre-qualified, reach out and I can help.

Do you want a finished basement? or maybe a newly renovated kitchen? Whatever features you want to find in your new home write them all down on a list, and from that list decide which one’s are your must have items, and which from the list are negotiable that you would be fine without if that was the case.

This is very important in also helping us to narrow down the search and find something that meets your needs.

Now’s the fun part, finding a realtor you want to work with. When it comes to choosing a realtor you want to ensure you’re finding someone who really cares about you and what you’re looking for. You want someone who can listen to your wants and understand your needs as well as being knowledgeable to help answer any questions you may have.

Now that you’ve chosen a realtor it’s time to start the actual house hunting! This is the fun part where we go check out different places, talk about different likes and dislikes, and really just find your dream space that you can call home.

Now that you’ve found the home you are really interested in it’s time to make an offer! This part requires a lot of signatures and back and forth to go over all of the documentation but don’t worry I’ll be here to explain everything along the way.

After submitting an offer and getting a signature back it’s time to arrange for a home inspection to ensure everything looks good and that all of the offer conditions are met before moving into your new home.

After the home inspection is complete, as long as all of the offer conditions have been met then the deal will close and you’ll receive the keys to your new home on the closing date.
